The challenge for humans, individually and collectively, is to strive for, achieve and experience The Perfect Balance of Yin and Yang -- those Gemini twins.
During the first week of November, 2010, Venus, the archetype of Woman and of the inner feminine in men, will begin a 584-day (approximately nineteen-and-a-half months) journey through Scorpio. For 584 days Venus will be having a new dialogue with, establishing a new connection to, having a new experience of, and engaging in a new expression of Scorpio, the very deepest feelings and emotions that human experience. Let’s consider this:
Venus is Woman (and the inner feminine in men) and Scorpio is the Yin, feminine essence. When we consider the ancient axiom “As above, so below”, this tells us that beginning the first week of November all of us on Earth, women and men, ready or not, will be in the first week of school – the Scorpio Mystery School -- studying-exploring-investigating-understanding-experiencing Scorpio in ways that are new for humanity. This begins a 584-day shamanic initiation cycle, the beginning of a major new experience and understanding of Scorpio, the Yin essence in us all.
For the purpose of this writing, “yang”, the masculine essence, is thought, and “yin”, the feminine essence, is feeling. (Please don’t confuse “feelings” with “ emotions”, they are different energies and different expressions.) All of us, women and men, are both yin and yang -- we all think and we all feel -- so we’re not condemning either polarity or either gender – not yin nor yang, not women nor men, not thought nor feeling, not AC nor DC. It takes both sides of duality, both extremes of polarity, to create, and we are creators-in-training.
Over several thousand years we have allowed the yang, masculine mind to dominate, to make the rules that govern our lives. For a very long time yang has been considered superior to yin; thinking has been considered superior to feeling; masculine has been considered superior to feminine; men have been considered superior to women; day has been considered superior to night; dark has been considered inferior to light, and on and on, when the Truth is these are equal sides of one coin, so to speak. Let’s say we’ve been living ninety percent yang, from our minds, and ten percent yin, from our feelings. Or perhaps it’s been 80/20, or 75/25. Whatever the ratio, it’s clear that it has not been anywhere near 50/50. That imbalance is at the root of all of our individual and collective difficulties and discomfort. We must achieve the balance point, the center point between those opposites, a true and real balance sometimes referred to as “The Secret of the Two Partners”, or, “The Law of the Unity of Opposites.”
The secret is that Yin and Yang, these Gemini twins, are actually perfectly and elegantly inter-related with one another as exemplified in the beautiful, fluid, flowing, powerful image of the Yin-Yang symbol.
So the challenge for us now is to achieve that perfect balance between yin and yang (heaven and Earth) so that the two are in perfect partnership within each of us individually and all of us collectively. All of the ingredients required to do this are available to us now. That has not always been so on Earth, yet it is so now.
Because for so long the yang masculine essence has been elevated and incorrectly considered to be superior, in order to achieve A Balanced Yin-Yang State of Being it is imperative that we fully acknowledge this death-creating imbalance and strive to empower the yin feminine essence to the same degree that the yang masculine is already empowered. Then and only then will we have the understandings and the wisdom required for feminine and masculine to be together in an experience of perfect harmony – neither dominating the other – and from that place of perfect harmony, we’ll automatically, magically, create and demonstrate A New Way of Being on Earth. Yes, when that balance is achieved, the New Way of Being will happen automatically! See that?

Every person on Earth, with no exceptions, is important. Everyone has a critical, dynamic part to play in The Evolution that is being fulfilled here on Earth. Humanity is like a seven-billion piece jigsaw puzzle and each of us is a piece of that puzzle. When we’re putting together a jigsaw puzzle and the pieces are spread all over the floor, we pick up one piece at a time and search for where that piece fits, knowing that the puzzle will not be complete until every piece is in its Right Place. So as pieces of the puzzle, each of us has the perfectly natural urge to ask ourselves “Where do I fit and how can I find out?” A part of our challenge is to know that, so we wander and wonder until we know, and it is possible to know the answer to that question.

All of us are all twelve of these energies. What we call the twelve “signs” are actually twelve archetypal essences that are at the very core of every human, they are the twelve cosmic energies humans are made of and six are yang-masculine, six are yin-feminine. A birth chart, or horoscope, is a blueprint, it’s a plan for the entire Life of the person (or city, or animal, or business, or project, etc., a chart can be drawn for any entity) for whom the chart is drawn. It “charts” their course. So we speak of the “planetary patterns” that are shown in the birth chart. The Sun sign is only one piece in the pattern. Every human is a microcosm of that planetary macrocosm -- “As above, so below”. The planets don’t “rule” us, they show us how we are wired, what’s possible and what’s probable for each of us in this Lifetime.
